Shipping policy
SHIPPING, DELIVERY & COLLECTION POLICY
This policy applies to orders placed with Blossoms Nest for local delivery or collection.
Blossoms Nest provides local flower delivery and same-day collection from our Crows Nest shop. All delivery and collection services are subject to flower availability, preparation time, delivery capacity and our normal trading hours.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

-
Saturday: 9:30 am–2:30 pm
-
Sunday: Closed
Trading hours may vary on public holidays, during private events or due to operational requirements.
Where the shop will be closed or operating reduced hours, we will update our website, Google Business Profile, social media or shop signage where reasonably practicable.
3. Same-Day Orders and Cut-Off Times
Same-day delivery and collection are available on eligible products during our normal trading days, subject to flower availability, preparation time and delivery capacity.
Our standard same-day order cut-off times are:
-
Same-day delivery: Order by 12:00 pm Monday to Saturday
-
Same-day collection, Monday to Friday: Order by 2:00 pm
-
Same-day collection, Saturday: Order by 12:00 pm
-
Sunday: Closed; same-day delivery and collection are unavailable
If you have missed the cut-off time, please always give us a call. We will do our best to accommodate urgent same-day orders wherever possible.
Orders placed after the cut-off time remain subject to flower availability, preparation time and delivery capacity. A reduced flower or product selection may apply.
Submitting a same-day order does not guarantee that it can be fulfilled until Blossoms Nest confirms acceptance.
During peak periods such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas, same-day ordering may close earlier once capacity is reached.
If we cannot fulfil your requested same-day delivery or collection, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable to offer:
-
an alternative delivery or collection time;
-
a suitable product or flower substitution;
-
delivery on another available date; or
-
a refund where an appropriate alternative cannot be agreed.
4. Same-Day Collection
Same-day collection is available from our Crows Nest shop for eligible products during normal trading hours.
Please wait until you receive confirmation that your order is ready before travelling to collect it.
When placing your order, please provide:
-
the name of the person collecting;
-
a valid mobile number;
-
your preferred collection time; and
-
any relevant order details.
Orders should be collected during the confirmed collection window.
If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible. Because fresh flowers are perishable, delayed collection may affect their condition and vase life.
Responsibility for the care and transportation of the order passes to the customer once the order has been collected. This does not affect any rights relating to a problem that existed at the time of collection.
5. Local Delivery
We provide local delivery to Crows Nest and surrounding Sydney suburbs.
Delivery availability and charges are calculated according to factors such as:
-
delivery suburb and distance;
-
order size;
-
delivery date;
-
requested timeframe;
-
access requirements; and
-
whether special handling is required.
The applicable delivery fee will be displayed at checkout or confirmed before payment.
Some locations may be outside our standard delivery area. Please contact us before ordering if your suburb is not available at checkout.
For locations outside our usual delivery area, we may:
-
provide a customised delivery quotation;
-
arrange delivery through a suitable third-party courier;
-
offer collection from our Crows Nest shop; or
-
advise that delivery is unavailable.
6. Delivery Timeframes
Delivery dates and time windows are estimates unless Blossoms Nest expressly agrees to a fixed delivery time in writing.
We will use reasonable care to deliver within the confirmed timeframe. However, delivery times may be affected by:
-
traffic conditions;
-
severe weather;
-
road closures;
-
building access;
-
hospital, venue or reception procedures;
-
high-volume occasions;
-
courier delays; or
-
other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a delivery is materially delayed, we will contact the customer where reasonably practicable.
If you require delivery before a ceremony, funeral, event, business closing time or another important deadline, please provide the exact deadline when placing your order. We recommend allowing sufficient time for unexpected delays.
7. Accurate Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information, including:
-
the recipient’s full name;
-
complete street address;
-
apartment, unit or suite number;
-
business or venue name;
-
the recipient’s mobile number;
-
access instructions;
-
delivery date;
-
relevant closing time; and
-
any event or service deadline.
Blossoms Nest is not responsible for a failed or delayed delivery caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer.
If an address needs to be changed after the order has been confirmed, please contact us immediately. Address changes are subject to delivery availability and may incur an additional delivery charge.
8. If the Recipient Is Unavailable
If no one is available to receive the order, we may, where reasonably appropriate:
-
leave it in a safe and sheltered location;
-
leave it with reception, concierge or building management;
-
leave it with a neighbour where authorised;
-
contact the customer or recipient;
-
return the order to Blossoms Nest; or
-
arrange redelivery or collection.
When determining whether an order can be safely left, we may consider:
-
weather and temperature;
-
exposure to direct sunlight;
-
public access;
-
security;
-
the nature of the property; and
-
the type of flowers or products ordered.
We will not leave an order where we reasonably believe it may be unsafe, damaged, stolen or exposed to unsuitable conditions.
Where possible, we may send a delivery confirmation or photograph showing where the order was left.
9. Apartments, Offices and Secured Buildings
For deliveries to apartments, offices and secured buildings, the customer must provide sufficient access information.
Where direct access is unavailable, delivery to reception, concierge, security or building management will generally be treated as successful delivery.
We cannot guarantee delivery directly to the recipient’s room, office or apartment where building rules or access restrictions prevent entry.
10. Hospitals, Hotels, Schools and Venues
Deliveries to hospitals, hotels, schools, aged-care facilities, restaurants and event venues are subject to the receiving location’s rules and access procedures.
Please provide:
-
the recipient’s full registered name;
-
room, ward or department where applicable;
-
venue or business name;
-
booking or event name where relevant; and
-
a contact number for the recipient or venue.
Some hospitals or facilities may restrict certain flowers, plants, containers or deliveries. Customers should confirm the recipient’s location and the facility’s requirements before ordering.
Delivery to an authorised reception desk, loading dock, concierge or venue representative will generally be treated as successful delivery.
11. Authority to Leave
By requesting that an order be left unattended, the customer authorises Blossoms Nest or its delivery provider to leave the order in the nominated location.
Once the order has been left in accordance with the customer’s instructions, Blossoms Nest is not responsible for loss, theft, weather exposure or deterioration occurring after delivery, except to the extent the issue was caused by Blossoms Nest.
This does not exclude rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Redelivery and Additional Charges
An additional delivery charge may apply where redelivery is required because:
-
an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied;
-
the recipient has moved or is not at the nominated location;
-
reasonable access was unavailable;
-
the recipient or customer requested delivery to another address;
-
the order could not safely be left; or
-
the delivery was refused for reasons not caused by Blossoms Nest.
Any additional charge will be disclosed before redelivery and will reasonably reflect the additional delivery cost.
If redelivery cannot be arranged promptly, the order may be returned to our Crows Nest shop for collection.
Because flowers are perishable, we cannot guarantee the same condition or vase life where delivery is delayed for reasons outside our control.
13. Delivery Instructions and Surprise Deliveries
We will make reasonable efforts to follow delivery instructions, including requests for a surprise delivery.
However, the driver may need to contact the recipient to:
-
confirm access;
-
locate the address;
-
arrange a safe handover; or
-
avoid a failed delivery.
We cannot guarantee that a delivery will remain a surprise where contact is reasonably necessary to complete it.
14. Flower and Product Substitutions
Flowers and foliage are seasonal products, and availability can change daily.
Where a particular flower, foliage, container or product is unavailable or below our quality standard, we may substitute an item of similar style, colour, quality and value while preserving the overall design.
If a substitution would materially change the agreed order, we will contact you for approval where reasonably practicable.
15. Peak Periods and Public Holidays
Delivery availability, order cut-off times and delivery timeframes may change during peak periods, including:
-
Valentine’s Day;
-
Mother’s Day;
-
Christmas;
-
public holidays; and
-
other high-demand occasions.
During these periods:
-
same-day ordering may close earlier;
-
timed delivery requests may be unavailable;
-
delivery windows may be broader;
-
product availability may be limited; and
-
delivery charges may vary according to demand and operating costs.
Any applicable charge or restriction will be displayed or communicated before the order is confirmed.
If online same-day ordering has closed, you are still welcome to call us. We will try to accommodate your order as best as we can, subject to availability and delivery capacity.
16. Wedding, Event and Corporate Deliveries
Wedding, event and corporate flower deliveries are not governed solely by the standard retail delivery options on our website.
Delivery, setup, relocation, pack-down and collection arrangements for these services will be specified in the relevant:
-
quotation;
-
proposal;
-
invoice;
-
booking summary; or
-
service agreement.
The client is responsible for providing accurate venue contacts, access times, loading instructions, event schedules and setup requirements.
17. Third-Party Delivery Providers
We may use trusted staff members or third-party delivery providers to complete deliveries.
Where a third-party provider is used, Blossoms Nest remains responsible for its obligations to customers under the Australian Consumer Law.
Customers and recipients must not engage in abusive, threatening, discriminatory or unsafe behaviour toward our staff or delivery providers.
18. Damaged, Incorrect or Missing Orders
If an order is damaged, incorrect, incomplete or has not arrived, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
For fresh flowers and arrangements, we recommend contacting us within 24 hours and providing:
-
your name;
-
order number;
-
delivery address;
-
a description of the issue; and
-
clear photographs where relevant.
Prompt notification helps us investigate the delivery and assess fresh flowers in the condition in which they arrived.
The 24-hour notification request does not remove any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include:
-
redelivery;
-
replacement;
-
correction of the order;
-
refund;
-
partial refund or price reduction; or
-
another agreed solution.
19. Cancellations and Refunds
Order cancellations, refunds and returns are governed by our Cancellation, Return & Refund Policy:
https://www.blossomsnest.com.au/policies/refund-policy
Nothing in this Shipping, Delivery & Collection Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.
